Today I had the chance to experience Salt Lake City’s Crown Burger which is always a great place to park for a Jazz Game.  I took my 2 year old and we enjoyed Cheeseburgers, Fries and Drinks.  I love the Crown Burger fry sauce!  It’s got fun chunkies in it that add to the flavor and make me want to double dip (even though I am very much against it, even when I eat alone).

The bun at Crown Burger doesn’t handle the burger well.  By the time you finish your burger the bun has given up and you are left with a mushy mess.  It tastes great but does require more napkins than a regular burger and fries meal.  The onions were very over powering (good for onion lovers but I ended up taking half off to be able to enjoy the burger).  Cheese was nicely melted and overall it was a good cheeseburger.

The french fries are a different story.  Unlike JCWs, these fries were more on the mushy and less on the crispy which meant that they didn’t last very long and weren’t as good as I know they can be.  Dipping fries in ketchup or fry sauce requires a fry that can handle the goodness.  These didn’t stack up and for the first time in months, I didn’t finish every fry.  Tonight’s dinner was a 5 out of 10 but I realize I ordered a cheeseburger and not THE Crown Burger.
