Little Acorn is a fun little burger joint in Pleasant Grove off of State St. (they have another location in Springville but let’s talk about Pleasant Grove). I’ve never been there when it’s busy and this trip was the same. Two other groups, one person taking orders, someone else cooking the food and that’s the experience. Located in an old chinese food restaurant, Little Acorn has the atmosphere of a chinese restaurant (big fish tank when you walk in with a lucky Buddha by the cash register) but their special “Shadow Fighter” burger is quite nice. What makes this burger unique is the bread it’s served with. Here’s how it looks:

The Little Acorn Shadow Fighter with Fries

The bread was a nice change from the typical burger bun and although there was nothing special about the burger or condiments, the overall meal was quite nice. The fries at Little Acorn are most easily compared to Wendy’s fries with a bump up in crispyness, freshness and quality. The fry sauce compliments the fries very nicely and although the restaurant is bit older without much personality, it’s clean, the staff is always nice and the food is always fresh. Plan to spend about $6 – $7 for a meal.

Before I forget, one of my favorite things about Little Acorn (Pleasant Grove only) is the display of the sandwiches by the front counter so you can see what your ordering and let the right burger talk to you. Here’s one section:

Just stare and wait for one to call your name.
